A 4-floor fashion marketplace featuring order-made clothing
No other marketplace is as up-to-date on Cambodia’s fashion scene as the Olympic Market. Established in 1994, this 4-fl oor building is packed with more than 4,500 stores, most of which sell clothing. Suppliers from within Cambodia visit the market regularly. The market also boasts an escalator, rare in Cambodia.
The majority of fashion stores sell women’s clothing. The 2nd and 3rd fl oors have many material and accessory stores, as well as tailors. These fl oors are often crowded with customers trying on dresses for weddings. There are also a few stores that provide tailor-made shirts for men. Customers choose the material and accessories; unique order-made clothing is one of the specialties of this market.
SUGAR CANE JUICE
Take a break after walking around the market with natural sugar cane pressed in-house. One large cup is available for 2,000 riel.
Outside of the 1st floor features dried seafood and food stands, and even market employees eat here. The market sells everything from electronics and kitchenware to makeup, sweets, toys, and baby goods. Most clothing stores on the 2nd and 3rd floor are aimed at women, but several stores provide tailormade services for men.
(The annex next to the main building has market office on the 3rd floor, and all other floors are coverd with clothing stores.)
(The market with escalators is only this market, though sometimes some or all of them aren’t working…)
