It’s early morning at the border, and people with various goals hold yellow paper work in their hands.
They hold a special day-trip pass, only for the locals, in order to cross over the border.
It’s an invisible line, but one that defines countries’ boundaries.
On the other side there are opportunities to make a living – that’s why they want to cross.
There are people pulling carts full of empty boxes – on the homeward journey these will surely be full of products.
Those who arrived by bike line up and look to be merely heading off for a stroll. And still others, that step after step harden the earth with their feet while crossing that line.
It’s strange – the same connected lands, but a whole other country. At times, that line has been the source of conflict.
These Cambodian people make the most of each day, cross to the other side in the morning and cross back over every evening.
This is their daily life, everyday. And so one wonders, what bounty will they return with today?
